Todd Rosenberg (also known as “Odd Todd”) created the website oddtodd.com in 2001. It features a cartoon series called “Laid-Off” which was a viral smash hit during the dot-com bubble burst. Todd made over 50 cartoons and games starring his blue robed character which are listed here if you wanna watch em.
The popularity of the website led to a book The Odd Todd Handbook: Hard Times, Soft Couch (Grand Central Publishing) and a TV series development deal with Comedy Central. Todd also sold a live-action screenplay featuring Odd Todd to Paramount Pictures– currently in development.
Todd regularly creates science/economic animations for ABC World News and Time.com. He also created ‘Science of Cooking’ segments for America’s Test Kitchen on PBS and editorial cartoons for The IFC Media Project. Todd’s freelance work has appeared on Nova, 20/20, Good Morning America, National Geographic, and Nickelodeon.
Odd Todd’s Laid-Off series won Best TV Pilot at the Vail Film Festival in 2005. NPR’s Climate Connections website which included Todd’s animated series It’s All About Carbon was honored with a National Academy of Science Communication Award in 2009. In 2010, an Odd Todd/Robert Krulwich animation won an EPpy award from Editor & Publisher for Best Use of Video in a Media-Affiliated Web Site.

Todd has been featured in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Esquire Magazine, Washington Post and is a commentator on NPR’s All Things Considered. Todd has also been visibly nervous on The Today Show, CNN, CNBC, ABC News and MSNBC. Press stuff is here…
